Ever wondered why some of our horses wear mesh grazing muzzles on the trail? 🐴

These are designed to help prevent horses from continuously snacking while walking. They do not stop them from breathing or drinking, and they can still eat when appropriate—they simply help limit constant grazing during the ride.

Using them helps keep our horses focused, comfortable, and healthy while providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. 🤎

We’re looking for 1-2 trail Guides to join our crew in beautiful Jasper, Alberta starting in August until our season ends in October.

If you love horses, the outdoors, and working with people from around the world, we’d love to hear from you!

What the job involves:
• Guiding horseback trail rides through the Jasper area
• Handling and caring for horses daily
• Saddling, grooming, and general barn duties
• Providing a safe and enjoyable experience for guests
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:
• Strong horse handling and riding experience
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification
• Friendly, hardworking, and reliable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment

What we offer:
• Staff accommodation available
• Wage starting at $18.75/hour
• Tips from guests
• Incredible mountain views and an unforgettable summer experience
• Great team atmosphere

Seasonal position based in Jasper, Alberta.

Did you know horses only lay down when they feel safe and relaxed? 🐴💤

While they can sleep standing up, horses need to lay down to get their deep sleep — and most only do it for short periods each day!

Basically… if you see a horse snoozing flat out, they’re living their best life 🤎
