Winter is inching closer 👀❄️and we’ve got updates!

We’re stoked to announce that our projected opening date for the 2026/27 season is November 13th! As always, opening day is dependent on some cooperation from Mother Nature, but we’re gearing up and you should too!

One important update before we get back on snow:

🚗 Marmot Access Road: As Parks Canada is completing slope repair work on the Marmot Access Road at 5 Mile Hill, you can expect alternating single-lane traffic during the first few weeks of the season. Marmot will remain fully accessible during this construction, and work is expected to be complete in early December.

September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Marmot Basin is privileged to operate within Jasper National Park, located in Treaty 6 and 8, as well as the traditional lands of the Anishinabe, Aseniwuche Winewak, Dene-zaa, Nêhiyawak, Secwépemc, Stoney Nakoda, Mountain Métis and Métis.

Today, we embrace the opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect on the histories and lived experiences of Indigenous Peoples, honour residential school survivors and their families, and remember the children who never returned home.

We encourage everyone to learn more about Jasper's Indigenous histories and connections through the Jasper Indigenous Exhibit, and to join Jasper National Park in honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at Commemoration Park beginning at 1pm.
