What surface is TOUGHER? Stone surfacing vs Rubber surfacing.

Rubber is tougher in this test. To be fair to stone surfacing. It will always be adhered down to the surface it is on or it will be the top layer of a full stone system. The aggressive cracking and splitting would not be as exaggerated as this test (unless it was not adhered properly during the install.

Stone is harder and less flexible because the flex comes from the binder not the stone. Where as rubber surfacing is flexible because of the binder and the rubber itself.

Both are great surfacing options or as full systems. They have different strengths and aesthetics. Stone surfacing is harder, more porous and natural looking. Rubber surfacing is more flexible, customizable, non-slip and can go over rougher surfaces. Both are great for patios, pool deck, garages and more.

Both need a professional to install it for any sort of toughness and quality of performance.

Stuck in a hole in the ground putting rubber everywhere!

Eliminating slip issues this customer was having in his basement steps and refreshing the walls to match! This is one of the more difficult things to do in one day with different colours.

All the other coating/ concrete surfacing options were too slippery and not flexible enough to deal with multiple concrete pours (shifting) so rubber surfacing was the only option. Because he did not want to takeout this right by his house!
