Located directly behind the Halifax International Airport, this regulation 9-hole, 2964 yard, par 36 layout is within easy reach of most HRM residents. Aircraft enthusiasts will appreciate the close-up views of incoming planes from various vantage points throughout t
he course. You will enjoy walking the two par 3s, five par 4s and the two par 5s on this relatively flat layout. For the less adventuresome, golf car rentals are available. With a course rating of 69.4 and a slope of 121 from the white tees for men and a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 134 from the red tees for women, this course will challenge both the beginner and experienced golfer. The ability to shape your shots is a definite asset as this course features a number of left and right doglegs. Some well placed hazards in close proximity to our medium sized bent grass greens will test your shot-making abilities. A number of improvements to the course over the past few years have greatly improved the playability of the course. Hole numbers 8 and 9 were replaced in 1997 increasing the par while adding some length to the course. The relocation of the 7th green brought an existing pond into play adding some excitement to this par 3. A large bailout area to the left of this hole has been provided for the less experienced golfer. The reconstruction of the 6th hole now offers a much larger, more receptive green. Protected by a small pond, a bunker and strategically positioned trees, this green adds a new dimension to the course. Whether you are new to the course or someone who is returning after an extended absence, you will appreciate the quality of this 9-hole layout. Being only minutes from Halifax and requiring no tee times, this facility is easily accessible to the general public.
