Evening everyone,

Even though I was still sharpening skates all summer, I wasn't posting as much on FB, but with the winter hockey season getting underway with pre-season development and tryouts not far behind it, you'll start seeing more frequent posts. I have alot of availability to sharpen skates, just message, but my main day of the week is Wednesdays. I have a drop off box, leave them on your way to work, pick up on the way home. Fall hockey hockey development/conditioning sessions and skating programs in preparation for the winter season are coming up fast. Lets get those edges dialed in!

WHY ELEVATE WAS CREATED

After spending the spring travelling to hockey tournaments and watching different levels of hockey across the country, one thing became clear to us:

There was an important piece missing in player development here in East Hants.

There are some great programs available that focus on developing individual skills — skating, shooting, puck handling and more. But developing those skills is only part of the equation.

Kids also need the opportunity to learn how to use those skills in a game.

That’s where Elevate Hockey comes in.

Our 4v4 full-ice league was created to help bridge the gap between skill development and game play. With fewer players on the ice, kids have:

More time and space with the puck
More opportunities to make decisions
More chances to battle, pass, shoot and create plays
More room to build speed and stamina
More opportunities to turn individual skills into game skills

Hockey is fast — and learning to make decisions and execute skills at game speed is a huge part of development.

Most importantly, we want kids to play, compete, build confidence and have fun.

ELEVATE IS JUST GETTING STARTED

This 4v4 league is only the beginning of what we hope to build with Elevate Hockey.

Future programming will focus on the progressive development of players, giving kids opportunities to continue building their individual skills and then learning how to apply those skills in game situations.

Our vision is to continue offering development opportunities, including future 4v4 leagues, that challenge players at different stages of their hockey journey while keeping development, confidence and fun at the center of everything we do.

Our coaches are committed to creating an environment where players can challenge themselves, put their skills into action and continue developing their game.

That’s why we created Elevate Hockey.

Individual skills build the player.
Game experience teaches them how to use them.

We finally have some forward progression on this! For those who completed the interest form, please check your emails for advanced registration for Elevate Hockey 4v4 league. Please do not forward the links to anyone, we will be comparing the lists and anyone that didn't complete the interest form will be removed before we proceed to general registration. Advanced registration will remain open for 24hours before general registration.

Note that we are only moving forward with our 4v4 league at this time. We are still working out the details for our progressive development. Keep and eye on the Elevate Hockey FB page for that and all future initiatives.
