MEET OUR U-15 AAA HEAD COACH 🏒🎉

“My name is Ethan Maertens-Poole and I am extremely excited to be back coaching the U15AAA Scott Pump team for the 2026-27 season. I have been coaching for 10+ years. Coaching has taken me to 3 different provinces spanning from Assistant Coaching in the KIJHL and MJHL to being a Head Coach at the U18 Prep level in the CSSHL. My staff this year is excited to get going, preaching Commitment, Compete, and Togetherness from all of our athletes. Away from the rink I am the General Manager for the Veterans Association Food Bank here in Edmonton. ”

MEET OUR U-13 AA HEAD COACH 🏒🎉

“Raised in Kimberley, BC, James developed a strong passion for hockey at an early age, going on to play junior hockey with the Creston Valley Thundercats. After completing his time in the KIJHL, he continued his education at SAIT before eventually settling in Edmonton, where he has remained deeply involved in the hockey community.

Over the years, James has dedicated himself to developing young athletes, coaching his sons and their teams to multiple successes, including championships at Minor Hockey Week and City titles. His commitment to excellence and player development was recognized during the 2024/2025 season, where he earned Coach of the Year Honours, along with Team of the Year.

Now stepping into coaching at a higher level, Coach James is excited to continue helping players grow—not only in their skills on the ice, but also in building character, discipline, and life skills that extend far beyond the game.”
