Where’s Diversity Magazine Going in 2023?

A very happy New Year to you all!

Before talking about 2023, let’s first celebrate 2022.

We recruited wonderful ambassadors in Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray, who helped us connect, tell the untold stories, and celebrate new community champions in those cities.

Events are an important part of promoting and celebrating champions in our communities, as such, we hired an Events Manager who helped organized a successful AC Awards in Edmonton, and the very first AC Awards in Calgary in 2022.

As DiversityPluss become a multimedia platform, Diversity TV added French to its weekly Community Newscast, as well as, celebrated the first edition of the Immigrant Experience Show and it’s growing group of members and audience supporting the Show.

Our online growth reach 50K per week from across Alberta and Canada, with a series of websites, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, WhatsApp, and over 50 Facebook and WhatsApp groups and chat rooms.

The quarterly Diversity Magazine print also saw some growth with new distribution locations and champions, with the number of copies printed increased from 20K to 30K.

In 2023, we will recruit more ambassadors, add new distribution locations for Diversity Magazine print in cities across Alberta and beyond, add more multicultural content, and double the number of Facebook and WhatsApp groups and chat rooms.

Champions of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) working so hard to foster diversity and inclusion in their organizations will be given a voice, supported, and celebrated at the 5th edition of Diversity Awards coming up on April 28 at the Baymont Hotel in Red Deer.
