Orders are open with a fun new product offering from Food on the Move, another social enterprise of Food First NL. Food on the Move creates welcoming spaces for fresh food shopping across St. John’s! Their pop-ups are a place to buy the food you want, in spaces that are welcoming, at an affordable price. And their newest offering, Good Soup, is now available on the hub!

Good Soup blends comfort cooking with convenience and includes everything you need for a delicious meal. Each package includes pre-measured ingredients and cooking instructions. Enjoy Good Soup as is or add your favourite vegetables or proteins.

Orders close on Monday at midnight for pick-up on Thursday (October 22nd).

Orders are now open for pick-up next Thursday October 8th, which means this is your chance to order through the food hub before the Thanksgiving weekend! Fill your Thanksgiving table with local food this year with the food hub! Here are just a few ideas of how to make local ingredients part of your meal:

• Pick-up a veggie hamper of potatoes, carrots, turnip and cabbage from Hillside Farms
• Cook up some partridge berry sauce from Barking Kettle foraged berries for a nice alternative to traditional cranberry sauce
• Grab some salt beef, pickled beets, or mustard pickles from Taylor’s market
• Add some local apples to your cart for a delicious apple crumble or pie
• Pick up some cake, cookies or other treats to top off your meal

I got two emails from [email protected] asking for a $200 “refundable” (sure, Jan 🙄) security deposit for the festive Market in December. Obviously a scam St. John's Farmers' Market does not require a deposit.
