As of now, the air quality level is at 5, so we are good to get Atom going this morning.

We will continue monitoring the air quality throughout the morning and reassess for Peewee at 9:30 AM.

Thank you for your patience, the site took a little longer than expected to update.

Unfortunately we’re still at 10+

We regret to inform that due to the air quality in Chilliwack all JB Games for this afternoon are cancelled.

We will reassess tomorrow morning for the Atom and Peewee games.

We understand the disappointment. However, there are many moving parts involved, including referees, concession staff and volunteers who require sufficient notice.

The decision was made using the air-quality information available at the time as per our Policy, with the health and safety of everyone involved as our priority. These decisions are never made lightly, and we appreciate your understanding.

We will reassess at 9am regarding this afternoon’s JB games.

With the Air Quality Health Index reaching 10+, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Chilli Bowl Friday Night Lights.

The health and safety of our players, volunteers, coaches, officials, and families is our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.

We are hopeful that conditions improve overnight and that the smoke clears so we can get back on the field for football on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you for your understanding, and we will continue to provide updates as needed.

We are excited to host the CHILLI BOWL 2026 at Townsend Park on August 14th, 15th, and 16th
The tournament begins with special Friday Night Lights matchups featuring Chilliwack vs. Chilliwack on Friday evening, with games for the Flag, Atom, Peewee, and JB divisions.

We are also pleased to welcome teams from across the VCFL for the tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

We invite our community to come out to Townsend Park and support our athletes throughout the weekend.
