🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, September 30, we pause as a Tzeachten Chilliwack United community to remember, listen, learn, and reflect.

We honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of this history.

We acknowledge that we play, learn, and come together on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Stó:lō people, within S’ólh Téméxw. We recognize and honour the enduring relationship the Stó:lō people have with these lands and waters.

As a soccer club, we know the power of bringing people together. Our fields are places where children build friendships, find belonging, learn from one another, and grow as part of a community.

Today reminds us that Every Child Matters — and that creating a better future begins with understanding the truth of the past, listening to Indigenous voices, and continuing to learn what reconciliation can look like in our own community.

We are grateful to play on these lands, and we recognize the responsibility that comes with being part of this community.

Today, we remember.
Today, we listen.
Today, we learn.
And every day, we have an opportunity to build a community rooted in respect, inclusion,

GIRL POWER ON THE PITCH

They say “play like a girl” … and we say THANK YOU.
Because playing like a girl means strength, skill, teamwork, and heart. It means giving everything for your teammates, outworking the competition, and proving time and again that we belong at the top of the game.

To every young player lacing up their boots keep pushing, keep believing, and keep showing the world what it means to play like a girl.

✨ Try to keep up. ✨

TCU Community Kicks League is HERE!

We’ve reimagined our Community Kicks program into something even better — a local Chilliwack-based league built for our community

📍 What to expect:
• Saturday game days
• 7v7 format
• Preset schedule for consistency
• Community vs. community matchups

👥 Ages: U11–U14
Players will be placed on teams based on where they live — Fairfield, Rosedale, Sardis, Promontory, Yarrow & Greendale. Keeping it local means more connection, more fun, and less travel

Our goal?
To create an accessible, community-first league where kids can grow their love for the game, build confidence, and experience true team play close to home.

Each team will have a volunteer coach (with support from TCU staff), plus:
✔️ Game-day setup handled
✔️ Referees provided
✔️ Scores tracked for end-of-season cup play

This is more than soccer — it’s community.
