It's wonderful to see Chester Golf Club Past President Joe Green recognized by Nova Scotia Health for the compassionate and meaningful work he does supporting patients and families.
Congratulations, Joe, on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to have you as part of the CGC community.
During Spiritual Health Awareness Week (Oct. 26-30), we're recognizing the important role spiritual care providers play in supporting patients and families through illness, loss and life's most difficult transitions.
At the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Joe Green, spiritual care co-ordinator, helps people feel heard, supported and less alone. As Joe says, "When hearts break, it's meaningful to walk towards and not away from people who need compassionate care."
Through deep listening, empathy and presence, spiritual care helps patients and families feel "safe, seen, less alone and cared for with great compassion."
