Is Your Bike Ready for the End of the Riding Season?

Before putting your bike away for the winter, give it a quick check to make sure everything is in good shape for next season!

Your end-of-season checklist:
- Check your tires: Look for worn tread, cracks, or damage.
- Inspect your brakes and gears: Make sure everything is working smoothly.
- Clean your bike: Remove dirt and grime, especially from the chain and drivetrain.
- Lubricate your chain: Help prevent rust and keep things running smoothly.
- Check your lights and reflectors: Make sure they’re working for any late-season rides.
- Book a tune-up: If your bike needs some extra attention, visit your local bike shop before winter storage.

A little maintenance now can help you spend less time getting ready and more time riding when spring arrives!

Be Seen This Fall

As the days get shorter, make sure you’re visible when you’re out riding.

Use a front white light and rear red light
Wear bright or reflective clothing
Check that your lights are charged before every ride
Be extra cautious during dawn, dusk, and low-light conditions
Give yourself plenty of time and space to be seen by other road users

Ride bright. Ride safe. Be seen.
