After nearly 40 years of dedicated service, we are honoured to celebrate the retirement of one of The Glencoe Club's finest, Kim Sourisack.
Kim joined The Glencoe Club in December 1986 and spent her entire career serving members through the Café. Over the decades, she became a familiar face to generations of members and a valued colleague to countless staff.
Throughout her remarkable tenure, Kim received numerous recognitions, including Long Term Service Awards through 35 years of service, Excellence Awards in 2010 and 2020, and the prestigious Master of Service Award in 2023. While these honours reflect her commitment and dedication, those who know Kim best will remember her for the relationships she built and the kindness she showed every day.
Kim began her career as a sandwich maker in the Glen Harvest Café before later becoming an attendant, helping with bussing and delivering food to members. No matter the role, she approached her work with quiet dedication, pride, and a warm spirit.
"Kim is loved by all. The members know her by name and ask about her when she is not in. Her coworkers look to her for training, where to find things, her secret stashes of colouring pages, and so much more. She cares about all of us. Her mild and quiet manner is a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle of the Café, and she will be missed."
— Christie Badick, Café 29 Manager
Though she never sought the spotlight, Kim's impact on The Glencoe Club has been profound. Through nearly four decades of service, she helped create the welcoming atmosphere that members have come to know and love.
Kim, thank you for your dedication, kindness, and loyalty. Your contributions have left a lasting mark on our Club community, and you will be deeply missed by members and staff alike.
Congratulations on an extraordinary career, and best wishes for a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement.
