We've watched a lot of kids walk into the Shooting Room nervous about their shot. Here's what changes when they stick with it.
Week one, most kids are just trying to get the puck on net. By session two or three, you start seeing it... the puck staying flat off the blade instead of rolling, the snap coming from the wrists and not the whole body, shots picking corners instead of just finding the goalie's chest.
By the time they're on their fourth or fifth, it's a different player. Same kid, different shot.
They're not thinking about their release anymore... it's just there. That's the part that actually shows up in games: not hesitating in the slot, not squeezing the stick, just shooting like they've done it a thousand times. Because they have.
That's the whole point of consistency in this room. It's not one session that changes a shot - it's the tenth. The habit. The rep count.
