BAMMA has officially signed on with the World Boxing Council Youth Muay Thai Ranking System!
When it came time to decide what direction we wanted to take our youth program, the choice was simple. Some of the best Muay Thai fighters in the country all have one thing in common⦠a green and gold belt wrapped around their waist.
As a coach, Iβm always setting goals for myself and my students. I truly believe in building athletes the right way β through discipline, hard work, respect, and strong fundamentals. π₯π₯
Training our youth in Muay Thai early will also transition extremely well into our MMA program. Strong striking fundamentals, balance, timing, movement, and discipline built through Muay Thai create a powerful foundation for future mixed martial artists.
This is a huge opportunity for our young athletes to grow, progress, and be recognized for their hard work inside the gym. Students will now have the chance to work toward official rankings, achievements, and future awards through their Muay Thai development.
Over the coming weeks we will begin introducing ranking evaluations and skill testing. Students will be expected to learn and understand our number system, including:
β’ Same side kicks
β’ Opposite side kicks
β’ Same side knees
β’ Opposite side knees
β’ Proper technique, balance, and control
β’ Combinations and movement
This is about more than just training hard β itβs about building confidence, focus, accountability, and earning recognition through consistent effort.
We are excited to watch our students level up and represent BAMMA with pride. The future is bright and this is only the beginning.
