For my birthday, I treated myself to something that pushed me outside my comfort zone: a semi-private reformer Pilates class.
I've taught Pilates. I've practiced Pilates. I walked in thinking, "I've got this."
Five minutes later: "Nope. Definitely don't got this."
A few minutes after that: "Okay... maybe I've got this again."
The teacher was fantastic, the class was fun, and you know what I realized? Nobody cared that I was figuring it out. Nobody was judging. Nobody was keeping score.
Sometimes, we're our own biggest barrier.
Stepping outside your comfort zone is scary. But staying inside it can be even scarier.
This week, I challenge you to move a little differently. Try something new. Be a beginner. Wobble. Laugh. Figure it out as you go.

• Tuesday 5:00pm – Mat Pilates at Union 108
• Thursday 6:30am – HIIT Pilates (Method 45) at Union 108
• Friday 6:30am – Mat Pilates at Union 108
• Saturday 9:00am – Mat Pilates at City of Om
And speaking of comfort zones...
This Saturday, I get to step outside mine again and teach at City of Om in Ottawa.
New space. New faces. Same slightly, nervous excitement.
