Being kind to your Body so the Mind and Heart follows In 2020 I became a bereaved Parent. The intense pain of Grief connected my Body, Mind & Emotions.

I instantly became a "Grief Yogi". It was isolating and exhausting. In 2022 I tried to seek a Body, Mind & Emotion connection with less heaviness. I studied and trained. I became a RYT200, Peer-Peer Grief Leader, Grief Movement Guide, Pilates Instructor, GYT100(Grief Yoga Teacher). Grief Yoga helps me transform my pain into more moments of joy. In 2024, I'm honoured to share this compassionate practice with the Ottawa Community. I'm hoping this practice offers a safe space to encourage self-exploration, connection, and empowerment.

My car was stolen in downtown Ottawa and used as a safe injection site!!! Let’s shine a compassionate light on our Drug & Addiction Crisis in Ottawa, Aug 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. What can you do? Check out your community for events, wear purple, reach out to someone who has lost a loved one and let them know there loved one is not forgotten ❤️ if you knew my sweet Maddy, consider donating to the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre.

In June I completed 1000 hours of teaching Yoga and I am thrilled to announce, I am a Registered Yoga Alliance Educator. In September, I will be offering a 10 hour program for Yoga Teachers who wish to learn more about Grief Yoga and ways of incorporating the techniques. I will also be leading a 5 class series for all who wish to try Yoga to soften Grief.
