An Independent certified coach, teacher and speaker with the nationally recognized John Maxwell Team, Johnson leads learning experiences that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the audience, to help maximize efficiency, growth, awareness and effectiveness. He invites those in the audience to “Put Your Dream to the Test” and provides them with a step-by-step action plan for making those dreams come true. This essential exposure to personal development techniques includes guided study and the practical application of John Maxwell’s proven leadership methods. He is also dedicated to assisting authors in making their publishing dreams come true. He’s addressed and led workshops at major events including: The Book Expo America at the Los Angeles Convention Center; the Capital Book Fest in the Washington D.C. metro area; and the Word Power International Book Fair in London, England. In addition, he’s presented sessions before major Christian writers and publishing groups, as well as before national Christian leadership development conventions. Johnson completed a 34-year career in government and private industry, retiring in 2017. He has managed workforce development, training, organizational change, acquisition/procurement, customer service, client relationships, and programming. This work includes projects with the Department of Defense, Department of the Treasury, the District of Columbia, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, the Department of the Army, the Defense Logistics Agency, and in the private sector at Vivendi Universal and Reuters America. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Johnson earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Management/Economics/Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed course work towards an MBA at Marymount University and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
