What a rollercoaster weekend for the Foster & Chamvless Family team at Route 66 Raceway.
Chris Foster put on a wild show in round one, carrying the wheels and getting just close enough to the wall to make everyone hold their breath. Unfortunately, the excitement came at a cost, as the car skated and gave away the starting line advantage, resulting in a tough first round loss to Bob McCosh.
Christine Foster was able to keep the weekend alive, picking up a first round win over Jesse Clark and turning her focus toward round 2 this morning at 9:30 AM against Annie Whiteley.
Heartbreak struck in round two for Christine and the entire team supporting her when she turned on the red light by just .010 seconds. Racing can be absolutely brutal sometimes, especially when the margins are that small.
None of this happens without the people and companies behind us. Huge thank you to HL Construction, Chambless Roofing, Hoosier Racing Tire, Maxima Racing Oils, and VP Racing Fuels for helping keep us on the track.
And an extra thank you to our hardworking and dedicated crew — Jimmy Rector, Curtiss Chambless and Tracy Chambless — along with our dedicated crew who put in countless hours to make this weekend possible.
We’ll regroup, learn from it, and get ready for the next one. 💪🏁
