No funny car racing or junior racing for us this weekend.... its our first weekend home in 2 months 😵‍💫

We are welcoming the weekend off to catch up and maybe a little needed rest/recovery too.

We got a shelf put up yesterday with our Maxima Racing Oils stock - if anyone is needing any product we have 60 wt / 70 wt and 5W-20 as well as the products on the shelf. We can order anything you might need as well, we will be at Cordova Dragway next weekend and our next NHRA event with be Brainerd National. Let us know if we can get you what you need!

What a difference a week can make.

Last weekend was a tough one at the Jr. Chaos race. We hurt a motor, and while the McGlynn family stepped in to loan us one so we could keep racing, Hudson really struggled on the starting line. His confidence took a hit, emotions were running high, and it was a difficult weekend for everyone in the Foster pit.

This weekend we came back to Cordova for a double points race determined to keep building. Between Saturday and Sunday Hudson won 6 rounds of racing, and today he battled all the way to the semifinals before bowing out against a very tough competitor. He turned it -.008 red while running dead-on with a 4. You never like seeing the red light, but we'll take an aggressive driver who's confident enough to race for the win every time.

By the time we loaded up to head home, the heat index was 112°, and we were definitely ready to get out of there. But more than anything, we wanted to leave knowing we gave it everything we had.

We still wouldn't have been racing this weekend without the McGlynn family trusting us with their borrowed engine. That kind of generosity is what makes the racing community so special, and we are incredibly grateful.

So proud of our boy for bouncing back, believing in himself again, and showing what he's capable of.

🚨Race Update 🚨

INSERT GRATITUDE!

We shouldn't be shocked because we've experienced firsthand just how incredible the drag racing community is. When word got out that Hudson's weekend was over because of a wounded engine, multiple families immediately offered to help. Two different families even offered us their spare engines so he could get back on the track.

A huge thank you to the McGlynn family for trusting us with their spare engine and helping us get everything back together. Thank you as well to the Kryer family for offering their spare engine and jumping in to make sure we had everything we needed.

This sport is about so much more than winning races. It's about the people who step up when things go wrong, the friendships built in the pits, and the reminder that we're all in this together. We are incredibly thankful and won't forget the kindness shown to our family this weekend.

Poor Hud wounded his engine in the second round of qualifying, shutting out his shot at three separate races with BIG payouts. 😭

Proud of him for taking it in stride and understanding that sometimes... that's just racing. We'll get it fixed and be back at it soon!

What a bittersweet weekend.

We had the best hot rod all weekend with low of every session and round (except one). Unfortunately, we lost fuel pressure and banged the blower, ending our day in a with disappointment in the final round.

Even though we didn't get the result we were chasing, we're incredibly proud of the performance this team put together all weekend. The speed was there, the confidence was there, and we'll get it repaired and be ready for the next one.

We're especially thankful for all the family, friends, and fans who came out to support us close to home and support Div 5's return to SRCA. Seeing so many familiar faces throughout the weekend meant more than you know.

Thank you to everyone who makes this possible. We will regroup, reload, and be back chasing that Diamond Wally.

Round 1 WIN for Christine and the entire Chambless Family Racing gang at SRCA Dragstrip!

That win punches our ticket to the semifinal bye and sends us straight to the finals! We couldn't ask for a better start at Christine's childhood home track. Thank you to everyone cheering us on from the stands and from home.

Christine Foster was able to hold the #1 spot making a 5.63, 5.64 and 5.65 runs in the Chambless Family Racing TAFC at her childhood home track SRCA Dragstrip.

We will head to the lanes for rd 1 at 1 pm. Schedule shows 1, 3:30 & 6:30!

This weekend is about so much more than racing.

Christine Foster is headed back to where it all began, her childhood home track, SRCA Dragstrip in Great Bend, Kansas.

After years of determination from so many people to rebuild and reopen this historic facility, the Chambless Family Racing team can't wait to finally make passes on the brand-new racing surface.

For the Chambless family, SRCA isn't just another racetrack. It's part of their family's story.

It's where Curtis Chambless first raced down the quarter mile. It's where a young Christine fell in love with drag racing and earned her licenses in a Junior Dragster, Top Dragster, Top Alcohol Dragster, and eventually a Funny Car. It's where countless weekends, late nights, victories, heartbreaks, and lifelong friendships created memories that will last forever.

Now another generation has added to that legacy. Hudson earned his Junior Dragster license at SRCA, continuing a family tradition that spans generations.

As we return to Great Bend, we'll be taking a little walk down memory lane while looking ahead to making brand new memories on SRCA's new surface.
