Most people think a strong punch comes from a strong arm. It doesn’t.
It comes from your fascia, the connective web that links your shoulder to your opposite hip in one continuous line. Train that line, and technique starts to feel effortless. Neglect it, and no amount of muscle will fix a flat, disconnected strike.
And here’s the part that changes everything: fascia doesn’t stiffen up because you get older. It stiffens up because you stop moving through full ranges. Active fascia stays elastic and organized at 60. Sedentary fascia gets tangled and rigid at 30.
This is the whole idea behind Rishinjuku Karate: training technique and fascia together, so your body keeps generating power instead of just absorbing wear.
