Well done team! What a brilliant tournament from the Under 10 boys! 👏⚽

Playing up against Under 11s, we managed to concede just 5 goals across 5 games while scoring 5 ourselves. Those statistics alone are an amazing achievement, the level of football the boys played, both individually and as a team, was incredible.

The boys worked hard all weekend getting into the semi final and only losing on penalties. The effort, determination and teamwork they showed throughout the tournament was something really special.

We are incredibly proud of every single one of them!

A massive thank you to everyone for their support over the weekend, we’ve helped create some brilliant memories for all the boys. Extra thank you to Paul Korotkov for all of his support and assistance over the weekend.
We look forward to continuing to build our club from the ground up - and these boys get a front row seat!

Today was an exceptionally wonderful day for our Under 9 girls team at the Shep Cup Tournament. The girls worked so hard over the course of the weekend - playing 3 games on Saturday in the heat (and watching their fellow Diamonds boys team play in-between). Today, they won their first game and were selected to play Plate Final. No time for nerves - the girls kicked off their first goal with a bang and continued to run the field even with the torrential downpour they endured. They came out strong even with their loss during the penalties and walked away as Runners Up - an incredible victory in itself.

As a country club with big dreams, we are so proud of all of our kids this weekend who were challenged in many different ways: weather, competing clubs, referees, rules and competition. We walked away more determined for next year and aiming for a new shiny trophy for our awards shelf in the clubroom.

Special thank you to all our kids and families for making the huge commitment and coming to this tournament. We love your kids and we're so grateful for all of you cheering and supporting their dreams. Big thank you to our 4 coaches: Luke Whitty, Matthew Connelly, Carlos Cervo and Jake Parkin for all your support and dedication for this weekend. We can't do it without you!

See you in 2027!

If you don't know Kayla Ray - you're missing out! Kayla was the backbone of Mini-Roo's this 2026 season. Whether she was organising uniforms and soccer kits in our merchandise store, helping on game days in the canteen serving, washing dishes and preparing food, making coffee and hot chocolates and helping out wherever she could - Kayla is a Diamond in every sense of the word and truly deserves all the allocades of this very deserving award. Congratulations, Kayla!

We are proud to share that Tamy Valdes from our Under 12's Girls, recieved the Paul Millynn Coach of the Year award at our Senior Presentation a few weeks ago. Tamy has been an invaluable asset to our club - not only as a coach, but as a member of our community - over the course of our season volunteering at our Mini-Roo's games with set-up, pack-up and supporting us in the canteen. We are so overjoyed with Tamy's achievements and well deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication. Congratulations, Tamy!

⚽♦️Coach of the Year♦️⚽

This Year’s recipient of the WDFC Coach of the Year award is Tamy Valdes – U12 Girls.🏆

Taking on her first coaching role, Tamy volunteered to lead our U12 girls team, most of whom were coming up from MiniRoos and onto the bigger pitch for the first time. Within this squad, Tamy created a positive, encouraging environment for her players.

Tamy did all of this by herself, without a team manager, but she took it in her stride and got on with the job, guiding the girls to a fourth-place finish and into the finals.

Her team always played in the spirit of the game, and the strong culture Tamy created has laid the foundations for these girls to continue playing in 2027.

This is a remarkable achievement for a first year coach and a well deserved award.
