Warragul Basketball Association is looking for an experienced basketball leader to shape the future of our junior representative programs. This is the senior on-court leadership role across our VJBL, Country Representative Program (CRP/JCC) and Future Warriors Academy — leading a team of up to ten Head Age Group Coaches from U10 through to U20, boys and girls.

If you love developing coaches, building a consistent style of play and growing the next generation of Warriors, we'd love to hear from you. An honorarium is provided, and the time commitment is seasonal and flexible.

JOIN THE WARRAGUL BASKETBALL TEAM AS A GAME DAY OFFICIAL! Warragul Basketball Association is seeking enthusiastic and confident individuals to join our Game Day Official (GDO) team.

As a GDO, you'll be the visible face of WBA on game night, helping create a safe, fair and respectful environment for players, coaches, referees and spectators. Working alongside our referee team, you'll support the smooth operation of the venue by managing behaviour, upholding our Zero Tolerance Policy, protecting junior referees, assisting with incident reporting and ensuring games run without disruption.

This is a paid hourly role and a great opportunity for community-minded people who enjoy basketball and want to play an important part in delivering a positive game-day experience.

✅ Paid hourly honorarium
✅ Must be 18 years or older
✅ Flexible evening and weekend opportunities
✅ Training and support provided
✅ No referee experience required

This Saturday night the Warrnambool Seahawks come to town and the stakes couldn't be clearer. We're sitting 5th on the ladder, just half a game behind fourth-placed Southern Peninsula — every win from here is massive. This is finals basketball in June. 🏆

Huge weekend of basketball for our VJBL program at the Nunawading Basketball Tournament, with all teams showing great effort, energy, and teamwork across a packed schedule.

The Under 12 Girls had five tough games, finishing with 1 win and 4 narrow losses against strong Division 1 opposition — a fantastic effort and clear growth from the group.

The Under 14 Girls finished with 3 wins and 2 close losses, including a 1-point game, with a strong focus on development and key improvements throughout the weekend.

The Under 16 Boys lost their games by 10 points or less (except one) but continue to develop their teamwork and excelled coming up against some great competition heading into the back of their season.

The Under 18 Boys came away with 2 wins and 3 narrow losses. Sitting on top of their VJBL ladder, this weekend and the competition they faced will certainly be valuable and help the rest of their season.

Proud of all teams for their competitiveness, attitude, and growth across the weekend. We are proud of the way they all represented our club over a massive weekend! 🖤❤️

We would also like to congratulate all Warriors that competed across the National Junior Classic Tournament this weekend. To have so many Warriors competing amongst the best of the best is always a great step forward for our club and the wonderful talent we have. 👏🏀

Do you have a background in child safety, law, social work, or investigations — and a passion for community sport?

We're looking for someone special to step into the role of Child Safety & Integrity Officer at Warragul Basketball Association. This is a volunteer position with an honorarium, and it's one of the most important roles in our organisation.

You'd be the go-to person for safeguarding concerns, integrity matters, and online safety across WBA and our clubs — supported every step of the way.
