Check out this open letter from the president of the Warragul Cycling Club...

Dear Warragul Cycling Club current and previous members,

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Warragul Cycling Club has been selected to go to the voting stage of Pick My Project, a State Government initiative to fund projects in the community.

If we get enough votes, we will receiving funding to build a Community Cycling Cross Track right next door to the WCC Velodrome. How exciting is that! And we are talking about close to $150,000 of funding…so just imagine how awesome this track will be!

The Baw Baw Shire council provided us their approval for us to submit this application and would provide the land adjacent to the velodrome for this to be constructed.

Significant thanks need to go to both past and present committee members for their contribution in planting the seeds and ideas for what this track could be and how great it would be for our community.

But we cannot do this by ourselves; we need your help by clicking on the link below and following these easy steps:

1. Select Warragul as the local community

2. Select the Community Cycling Cross Track submission (you can read more about it there too!)

3. You have THREE votes, make sure ONE of those is for OUR project, plus you do need to select TWO others you feel are worthwhile for the community.

4. Once you have completed YOUR vote, make sure you SHARE this with you family and friends to spread the word. It will take a lot of votes for us to get this funding.

Please ACT NOW as we only have a few weeks until the voting closes.

This is an amazing opportunity for the club that will benefit the ENTIRE COMMUNITY and ultimately that will grow our club in all areas.

- how great it would be to see families cycling at our wonderful facilities;

This page has been created to gain support to build a Community Cycling Cross Track in Warrragul.

As a bit of background, the Warragul Cycling Club has been working for some time to build a Cycling Cross Track for the benefit of the entire community. The proposed track would be used for the general community of all ages (kids through to seniors); to host events; and for the community to use at any time.

When the victorian government announced the Pick My Project we took the opportunity to submit an application and engage the local Baw Baw Shire.
