Congratulations to GUFC U13’s player Tate Musgrove who has been selected to represent Vic City! 🏆

He’ll be representing our Club and the State competing at the National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane from the 28th September to the 1st October.

Our Expression of Interest (EOI) process for 2027 junior girls program is now open!!

We are inviting girls interested in joining our Metro Development Squad (MDS) program to register their interest in the following age groups:

Girls 11–12: born 1 January 2015 – 31 December 2016
Girls 13–14: born 1 January 2013 – 31 December 2014
Girls 15–16: born 1 January 2011 – 31 December 2012

Training locations are subject to venue availability, and teams may be required to train at alternate venues when necessary.
Training nights and locations will be confirmed once teams are finalised and grounds have been allocated.

We strongly encourage all players from this year to submit an EOI.

Not the end to the season we had hoped for.
United dominating the possession again yet were unable to convert the bulk of the play into scoring opportunities. Berwick on the other hand were clinical in front of goals and that was the difference.
On behalf of GUFC we congratulate Berwick on achieving promotion and thank them for supporting our Club yesterday. A great group of fans who were all respectful and really well behaved.

It was a bumper final day and probably the biggest crowd we’ve ever had at Baxter Park. The place was absolutely packed!!
Thanks to our fabulous volunteers, especially Pete and Shaz, who cooked over 300 snags and burgers and made four trips to the supermarket to restock. Ella and the bar staff also run off their feet with fridges empty this morning.
Scotty Smith will be rubbing his hands together at the prospect of taking this bounty of cans to the recycling depot.

All in all it has been a positive year across the Senior squads. Our young players, many only one year out of juniors, all the better for the experience of State 2 senior footy.
With an average age of just 22 the future is a bright one and we’ll look to improve on this year’s achievements, strengthen the depth of our list and be knocking on the door of promotion to the State league’s top flight soon!
