WHAT AN END TO AN INCREDIBLE SEASON! 🦈❤️🖤

5 teams in Grand Finals today… 4 WINS and one very, very hard-fought loss. What a way to finish 2026!

But today — and this season — is about so much more than wins, losses, finals or trophies.

We are INSANELY PROUD of every single member of our Sharks family. Whether you played Under 8s or Cadets 1, made finals or didn’t, won more games than you lost or simply turned up each week and gave it your best — you are part of what made this season so special.

Sport is so much more than just the game.

It’s the friendships made along the way.
It’s learning from your teammates, coaches and even your opposition.
It’s pushing through setbacks and getting back up when things don’t go your way.
It’s building resilience, overcoming challenges and learning what it means to be part of a team.

But most importantly, it’s the memories, the laughs and the connections that last long after the final whistle. ❤️

We still have two more events to officially wrap up our 2026 season, and then our committee will be taking a few well-earned weeks to reset, recharge and refocus before we start turning our attention to SEASON 2027! 👀🦈

A HUGE congratulations to our Sharks 10 on an incredible Grand Final win against Lorikeets! 🥳🎉

And what makes this win even sweeter… every other time we played Lorikeets this season, we lost by just ONE goal! 🔥

Today, our Sharks turned the tables and came away with the win when it mattered most!

What an amazing display of determination, teamwork and never giving up. Every player should be incredibly proud of themselves and what they have achieved this season.

You kept fighting, you believed in each other and today you got the reward you deserved!

And just like that… it’s our final day at the courts for season 2026! 😭

To our teams taking the court in today’s Grand Finals — we are already so incredibly proud of you. No matter what that final scoreboard says, you’ve earned your place here, so soak it all in and enjoy every second.

Play hard. Play fair. Back your teammates. Respect your opposition and officials… and maybe try not to give your coaches and parents heart attacks on the sideline. 😂

To our coaches, managers, umpires, families, supporters and volunteers — THANK YOU! Another season of early mornings, training nights, forgotten water bottles, lost socks, frantic group chats, canteen runs and spending basically every Saturday at the netball courts. 😂❤️

And now the big question…

What on earth are we all going to do with our Saturdays?! 🤷‍♀️😂

Sleep in?
Make actual weekend plans?
Not check Netball Connect 100 times?
Not yell “HANDS OVER!” from the sideline? 😂

Don’t get too comfortable though… we’ll be back before you know it! 🦈

This Child Protection Week, Sharks Netball Club proudly reinforces a message that extends far beyond one week:

Child protection is everybody’s business.

As a community sporting club, we recognise the important role we all play in creating an environment where children and young people feel safe, heard, respected, supported and valued.

Child safety isn’t simply about having policies and procedures in place. It’s about the culture we create every time our players step onto the court. It’s how we speak to one another, how we listen when a young person raises a concern, how we model respectful behaviour and how we act when something doesn’t feel right.

At Sharks, we remain committed to ensuring the safety, wellbeing and best interests of every player and member are at the heart of what we do.

Whether you are a coach, manager, umpire, committee member, parent, spectator or player — we all have a role to play.

❤️ Listen to children and young people.
🦈 Take their concerns seriously.
❤️ Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
🦈 Speak up when something isn’t right.
❤️ Help create a club where everyone feels they belong.
