Nominations for the B Singles close next Saturday afternoon. Nominations are also open for the Apple Blossom Carnival. Nominations are open for the SDMDBA Open Two Bowl Triples. This event will be played at the Clifton Bowls Club on October 31st and November 1st.

Members fees are becoming due (Full members)
AGM to be announced soon. As will nomination forms, be on the Notice Board.

We your Club were truly honored and deeply pleased to support the Stanthorpe Cancer Support Group at their Father’s Day Luncheon today.
Days like today remind us of the incredible strength and compassion within our community. The Stanthorpe Cancer Support Group provides vital comfort, financial aid, and transportation for local patients and their families during some of life's most challenging moments. To be able to stand alongside them and contribute to this cause is a privilege we hold close to our hearts.
A beautiful afternoon at The Summit Bowls Club brought everyone together to share laughter, support, and generosity. Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and helped make the event a success. Your kindness radiates deeply, and to all the wonderful fathers and father figures in our community—happy Fathers Day.

There is nothing better than kicking back on a Friday night at your Club with a meal that you didn't have to cook yourself.
If you are planning to hit up Outlaw Food Shack this Friday night. Dinner from 5pm Don't forget to text your head count to 0467 453 876 by Thursday lunch time. They are only open for dinner once a week, allowing us to cater for how many people to expect.
Rob C was drawn for the $250 Friday night members draw, but since he wasn't there to claim it, the jackpot rolls over to $300 for next week. Make sure you are there this Friday night so you don't miss out!! Raffle winners as per photos Congratulations!

Every Tuesday is our official Lawn Bowls Practice & Bonding day. Whether you are aiming for a perfect line or just looking for a good laugh and great company, this is the place to be. And its FREE. We welcome visitors with or without bowls. (as we have plenty of spare bowls) 10am start.

Great turn out on the greens for a fantastic afternoon of Saturday social bowls with both greens in play. It was wonderful to see new members joining in. Perfect weather, fierce competition, and plenty of laughs.
The Results were as follows – Andy Chase, Alex Mattiazzi and Adrian Jackson 24 v Sylean Fairley, Phil Davis and Rocky Thompson 15 – Game 2 – Joe Straatman and George Little 23 v Larry Mullen and Frank Taylor 18 – Game 3 – Gwen Blackley, Rod Crome and Bruce Griffit 20 v Leanne Mullen, John Fairley and Simon ? 11 – Game 4 Dave Blackley and Rob Capelli 25 v Mark Wicks and Bruce Frizell 15.
Four hopeful participants—Andy, George, Gwen, and Mark—stepped up to the wheel for their shot at a cash prize. While Andy, George, and Gwen gave it their best standard spins, luck just wasn't on their side, and they unfortunately walked away empty-handed.
Mark, however, decided to think outside the box. Dropping the traditional forward motion, he spun the wheel entirely backwards! The gamble paid off beautifully, delivering him the cash prize. Congratulations, Mark, on your clever (and slightly cheeky) victory! (Thanks Stanthorpe RSL for your donation of the wheel)
The club sevens set down for next weekend has been postponed. It may be held later in the year if time permits. This is unfortunate at this event has been on the district calendar for twelve months. Clubs had sufficient time to ask for changes to the calendar. There is little incentive for the District Match Committee to plan events.
Nomination sheets are on the board for the Men’s B Singles and Ladies’ B Singles. More nominations are required for both events. Nominations close on September 12th.
Nominations are also open for the Apple Blossom Carnival at the end of September. Nomination sheets for the events are on the board.

COMMUNITY PACKS OUR HOUSE for animal lovers who turned out in droves for Animal Rescue Kare (ARK) major fundraiser Bingo. We were thrilled to welcome an unexpected surge of attendees, playing to a packed house completely filling our tables. Critical funds towards building a much-needed, dedicated local animal shelter. Guests enjoyed a lively afternoon featuring competitive games of bingo, and high-stakes multi-draw raffles with major prizes, and a popular lucky door prize draw. The event was a true collaborative community effort, with food provided by the local Rotary Club. Every dollar raised from today’s event goes directly toward the construction of Southern Downs ARK's new shelter facilities, ensuring a safer, more comfortable environment for dogs and cats waiting for their forever home. Southern Downs ARK extends its deepest gratitude to all the volunteers, local businesses who donated raffle prizes and the incredibly generous community whose overwhelming attendance made the day an unforgettable success. ☀️ Sun, Fun, and Barefoot Bowls! 🎳We had an absolute blast hosting the fantastic team from Trusted Granite Belt Dental for a day of barefoot bowls, a sizzling BBQ, and some seriously competitive trivia! 🔥🍔A massive thank you to everyone who came out, kicked off their shoes, and brought such great energy to the green. Whether you were throwing a perfect curver or crushing the trivia quiz, you made it a day to remember. 🏆It is always a pleasure connecting with wonderful local businesses in our community. We can't wait for the next rematch!
