Wednesday Rolling | Sara Clears the Field

Wednesday’s all-day rolling competition saw members take on a white tee stableford, and the leaderboard had a strong theme near the top.

The ladies came to play.

Sara Hughes produced the standout round of the day, signing for an emphatic 20 points to claim the win and sit clear of the field.

It was a commanding performance in a format where momentum matters. Over nine holes, there is not a lot of time to ease into the round. You need to start well, stay steady and make every scoring chance count.

Sara did exactly that.

Behind her, Julie Haydon and Toby Wongkruth both finished on 18 points, sharing second place and staying closest to the winning score.

Then came a strong group at 17 points, with Karen Sullivan, Virginia Gleeson, Scott Lindsay and Lismore’s Luke Ryan all right in the mix.

Neville Alcorn, Neil Charles, Adam Rose and Ian Davile rounded out the top group on 16 points, showing there was plenty of solid scoring across the field.

But this one belonged to Sara.

A strong white tee stableford field. Ladies right in the thick of it. And Sara Hughes delivering a clear win with a quality round.

Congratulations Sara — an excellent Wednesday Rolling victory.

Matchplay Championship | Final

The 2026 Teven Matchplay Championship has come to a close, with Don Scholten crowned champion after a hard-fought final against Jack Lowe.

After weeks of matches, momentum swings, close finishes and pressure moments, the final delivered a fitting end to what has been a brilliant championship.

Don proved incredibly steady when it mattered most, eventually defeating Jack 2 up to claim the title.

Matchplay is a different beast. It asks players to manage more than just the scorecard. Every hole becomes its own contest. Every missed chance feels bigger. Every recovery matters. And when the match gets tight late, composure becomes just as important as ball striking.

Across the championship, both Don and Jack earned their way to the final through quality golf and plenty of nerve. Jack’s run deserves real recognition, pushing all the way to the final and helping produce a match worthy of the occasion.

But in the end, it was Don who owned the moment.

A composed final. A strong campaign. And a well-earned place on the Matchplay Championship honour board.

Congratulations Don — our 2026 Teven Matchplay Champion.

Tuesday Shotgun | Kempton Kicks Off Spring

The first day of spring delivered a leaderboard with a bit of everything at Teven.

A tight stableford field, a few standout moments, and another strong win for John Kempton.

John finished on 21 points to sit alone at the top, continuing what has been an excellent recent run. In a field where plenty of players were close enough to keep the pressure on, he found just enough separation to get the job done.

Behind him, there was a strong chase.

Declan Kirwan, Luke Whittington and Jack Oates all finished on 20 points, just one back from the lead. Luke’s round included a brilliant eagle on the 4th, while Jack put together a strong par run to keep himself right in the contest.

Anthony Pennisi, Cory Levene and Wayne Porter were next on 19 points, with Jacinta Oates close behind on 18. Gavin Payne and Ben Harris rounded out the top ten on 17 points.

There were plenty of good stories across the board, but the headline belonged to Kempton.

A new season. A strong round. And John finding the top of the leaderboard to start spring.

Congratulations John — a quality win on the first day of spring.

Saturday Rolling | Dufficy Posts and Holds

Saturday Rolling brought a full field to Teven, and the members were greeted with just about perfect conditions.

Black tee stableford. Still air. Faster greens. A full tee sheet.

It was the kind of morning where the early groups had a chance to make a move before the course found its teeth — and Martin Dufficy made the most of it.

Playing in one of the very early groups, Martin took advantage of the calm conditions and posted a brilliant 22 points, setting a target that the rest of the field spent the day trying to chase.

And chase they did.

Heidi was outstanding in second place with 20 points, while Curt Zuber and Mikko Helle both continued their strong form to finish on 19 points.

Behind them, the leaderboard packed in tightly, with Luke Saad, Oscar Skelly, Glenn Joynson, Jack Lowe, Rodney Sironen and Stone Cannon all finishing on 18 points.

On a day where the greens were noticeably faster and every putt demanded proper attention, there were plenty of quality scores across the field. But Martin’s early number stood tall from start to finish.

A full field. Perfect weather. Quick greens.

And Martin Dufficy making the early start count.

Congratulations Martin — a quality Saturday Rolling win from the black tees.

Wednesday Rolling | Guy Takes the Par Honours

A packed field took on Wednesday’s black tee par competition at Teven, and the leaderboard told the story of just how tight the day became.

From the black tees, par is never a simple assignment. It rewards the players who can build a little momentum, but it also has a habit of pulling the field back together when the course starts asking questions.

And on Wednesday, there was a serious jam just above handicap.

At the top, Guy Angwin and Michael “Bob” Hartigan both finished at +4, with Guy claiming the win on countback after another strong black tee performance.

Torie Mathew continued his excellent recent form as well, finishing solo third at +3, while Jane Denison, Benjamin Neilson and Clayton Oates all sat right behind on +2.

Cathy Mackie was next at +1, before the leaderboard packed itself tightly at -1, with Karen Sullivan, Gavin Payne, Andrew Hoolihan and seven others all finishing just the wrong side of square.

That cluster says plenty about the test.

A packed field. Black tee par. Plenty of players close to the mark, but only a few able to stay above it.

Congratulations Guy — a quality countback win in another competitive Wednesday Rolling field.

Tuesday Shotgun | Laura Lands Maiden Teven Win

Tuesday Shotgun delivered a great story at Teven, with Laura Cima claiming her maiden win in her very first Tuesday Shotgun event.

Fairly new to competitive golf, Laura stepped into the black tee stableford field and looked right at home, finishing on 20 points to share the top score of the day with Andrew Hoolihan.

After the countback, it was Laura who claimed the win.

Not a bad way to introduce yourself to Tuesday afternoons.

Andrew Hoolihan was right there again, also finishing on 20 points and continuing a strong run of form. Luke Saad was close behind on 19, alongside Clayton Oates, with Gregory Furney, Adam Rose, Joel Thomson and Garry Oxley all returning solid rounds of 18 points.

Joshua Middleton and Mark Perkins rounded out the top ten on 17 points, in another competitive Tuesday field.

But the story belonged to Laura.

First Tuesday Shotgun. First win at Teven. Countback victory over one of the form players in the club.

Hoolihan, Saad and Cima have all been right in the mix over the past couple of weeks, but there is no doubt the membership is now officially on notice.

Here comes Laura.

Congratulations Laura — a brilliant maiden win at Teven.

Saturday Rolling | Irvine Wins the Saturday Squeeze

Saturday Rolling brought another full field to Teven, with members taking on a black tee stableford in what turned into a very tight contest at the top.

The black tees were in play, the field was strong, and the leaderboard had very little separating the main contenders.

At the top, three players finished locked together on 21 points.

Jill Irvine, Oscar Skelly and Aaron Champion all found enough good golf to share the lead, but after the countback it was Jill who claimed the Saturday win.

A full field black tee stableford rarely gives much away. It asks players to stay patient, take their chances when they come, and keep finding points right to the end. On Saturday, Jill did exactly that.

Josh Seage and Robert Tillman were right behind the leaders, both finishing on 20 points, while Joel Thomson, Rip Cannon and Chris Radloff all returned strong rounds of 18 points.

Daniela Payne, Jack Davy and five others rounded out the top group on 17 points, showing again just how compact Saturday leaderboards can become when the field is full and the black tees are in play.

Three tied at the top.

One winner on countback.

Congratulations Jill — a quality Saturday Rolling win in a very competitive field.

Wednesday Rolling | Bob Builds a Wednesday Win

Wednesday’s all-day rolling competition brought a full field back to Teven for a black tee stableford, and the course had just a little more bite than the night before.

The greens were noticeably quicker than Tuesday’s shotgun, giving members a sharper test and making every putt feel that little bit more important.

At the top, it was Michael “Bob” Hartigan who handled the conditions best.

The reigning Eclectic Champion continued his strong season, signing for 21 points and claiming the win on countback in a tightly fought finish.

That also made it a double for the tradies this week, following Ben Harris’ Tuesday Shotgun win. Different day, same trade-friendly leaderboard.

Luke Saad was right there with him, also finishing on 21 points and continuing his excellent form resurgence. It was another strong performance from Luke, who pushed all the way to the top but missed out on the W by countback.

Behind them, the final group of the day produced its own little battle, with Andrew Hoolihan and Stone Cannon both finishing on 19 points to share third.

Laura Cima, Torie Mathew, Neville Alcorn and Mathew Crook all returned solid rounds of 18 points, while David Weale, Joel Thomson and three others rounded out the top group on 16.

A full field. Faster greens. Black tees in play. And a leaderboard that stayed alive right until the end.

Congratulations Bob — a quality countback win and another big result in a strong season.
