Greetings adventurers, due to the forecast of heavy rain for tomorrow we have decided it would be best not to get all muddy & instead head indoors for a Social Meetup! So in place of our regular Launceston CTA, come and join us this Saturday 5th of October from 10:30am, at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk for a Social Meetup & a look around, no kit required.

Attention all Adventurers!

It's that time of year again... Membership fees are due again.

These fees are important to help keep us running, as they help cover our insurance (so we are covered for hitting each other with foam) administration costs like hiring locations for events, and purchasing gear to help us run events.

Full price annual membership fee: $50.
Concession card holder and minor (Under 18) annual membership fee: $40.

New members are exempt from paying membership fees until they have been involved in three (3) official events of Southern Isles LARP.

If you are a concession card holder, please show this as proof to a committee member at your next opportunity.

You can pay with cash or card at any of our events (the next one is Launceston CTA on September 5), or through direct deposit below. If you pay via direct deposit, please include your full name 2026 as a reference (eg. John Smith 2026). This name should be the same as the one you have registered with us before, so we can mark you off on our records.

After the 2026 AGM on Sunday, August 2, we're pleased to be announcing your new Committee for 2026-2027!

Your new Southern Isles LARP Committee looks like this:

We welcome the new committee and would like to thank the retiring committee for all of their time and effort to keep Southern Isles running!

Come Join us this weekend for two events, Our Call To Arms- Hobart, And our Southern Isles LARP 2026 AGM!

Our AGM will take place at 6pm this coming Sunday 2nd of August Online in our discord channel. At our AGM we will be electing our 2026-2027 Committee, As well as voting on any amendments to our constitution. If You have been along to one of our events before, make sure to come along!

Our Committee makes sure that SIL can continue to exist and run events, and we welcome nominations from anyone to join our committee, A number of our current committee are retiring and such now is a great time to join the committee. The Time commitment in being a committee member is only a 2 hour meeting every other week, with other jobs assigned based on peoples availability. Please don't be afraid to nominate for the committee, If you would like more info about being on committee please reach out!

Our Other Event is our Hobart Training & Picnic event at the John Turnbull Park in Lenah Valley, This Saturday 11:00am! Come and Join us for a social chat & a swing no cost just come along and say hi!

Come with us once again on a midwinter lantern walk as we share tales and tell stories around a cozy campfire! What stories will you bring? Happeing this Coming Saturday 26th of July!

Join us as we follow an Aluran tradition dedicated to the god of stories and secrets. Hathrake will guide us on a short walk as we cast our secrets to the fire. Then we'll rejoice with stories and tales shared by everyone.

This event will take place at 40 Baileys Road, Parratah. Parking is available on site, with a dedicated parking spot available on site, located off the lefthand side of the road just before the start of gravel road. As this is a farm property their are Chickens, Dogs & Sheep on site. We also ask that you please wear protective shoes at all times while on the property. Their will not be chairs at this location so please bring along a camping chair.

This DOA will be a non-combat event with the ability to interact with fellow players and friendly NPC's. As this is a in character event we encourage before attending you have an idea of a character you are wishing to play, (And some story's you would like to tell as your character) as throughout the event you will be playing as your character and interacting with other players characters. As apart of this being an in character event this will also be a "Kit on" event, as such we encourage dressing up as your character in a fantasy medieval style. For more information on character creation please check out our Player Guide (available in the google drive in our Linktree) or ask one of our friendly committee or Lore Team members in our discord of help!

Camping is available on site after the event! If you are planning to camp please bring a Tent (or a vehicle) to sleep in, as well as a sleeping bag, food & camping chair. As it is winter remember to bring warm sleeping clothes. Their is a bathroom on site inside the house.

Carpooling will be organised in the carpooling channel of our discord, this DOA's location is not close to public transit so please don't be afraid to reach out if you wish to come along but just need some help with a lift!
