✨METRO SOUTH MJL/JUNIOR DIVISIONAL 2026 SEMI-FINALISTS

What a season it’s been for our MJL/Junior Divisional girls and boys! After a competitive regular season, 5 of our 9 teams have earned their place in the semi-finals, with two finishing in the top two and securing home semi-finals! 👏

A massive well done to all our players, coaches, managers, coordinator Ash and, of course, the parents and families who’ve been there week in, week out. It's fantastic to see hard work rewarded.

ACADEMY BOYS SEMI-FINALS. ALL AT HOME. 💛💚

Our 1 boys are ready for finals football, with 𝟓 semi-finals on home soil this weekend. The U18s get us started on Saturday afternoon, before the remaining teams hit the pitch Sunday morning.

With U13 McKain, U14 and U15 finishing as Premiers, and U13 McKay and U18 finishing second, it’s shaping up to be a big weekend of football.🔥

Two of our U7 girls got the chance to play up on our U8 girls' team on the weekend. They did so well, and the U8 girls made them feel part of the team from the minute they arrived. 💛💚

Then it was back to their own awesome U7 team for another great game!

GOLD AGAIN!

Rochedale Rovers FC is proud to announce our Academy has again been awarded Gold Rated Academy status by Football Queensland for 2026. This extends our record of Gold ratings every year since the FQ Club Assessment system was introduced in 2019 – a reflection of the care, commitment and high standards that go into our Academy daily.

Our strong boys’ program, the continued growth of our girls’ program, and the clear pathway our Academy provides into senior football all play a big part in what makes Rovers special.

“To achieve Gold status again is something I’m incredibly proud of. It reflects the hard work and commitment of so many people across our Academy – our players, coaches, staff and families. I’m proud of all Rovers players, coaches and staff, and I know you will all continue building on this for the next generation of players,” said Scott MacNicol, outgoing Technical Director.

“I’d like to congratulate Scott MacNicol and everyone involved in this achievement. We know how much work goes into the FQ assessment process, and achieving Gold year after year is a significant accomplishment. As a club, we’re incredibly proud of the result and of everyone who has contributed to maintaining such a high standard,” said Jonny McKain, President.

A huge thank you to everyone who has played a part in achieving Gold Status for our Academy again.

Spotlight on our U12 Kangaroos 2 team ✨

The boys got another win on the weekend, taking them to just one loss for the season with one game to go. Awesome effort team. 👊

Coach Dean said they’ve been highly disciplined and exceptionally motivated all year, and he’s loved the passion and commitment they’ve shown.

We’ve loved watching them encourage each other and celebrate together. That’s what a good team looks like. Well done Coach Dean, Manager Julie and all the boys on U12 Lille 👏💪

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 💛💚
A special Father’s Day message from two of our youngest Rovers, sending plenty of love to all the Dads, Grandads and father figures who are part of our club family. 👏

We hope you’ve had a chance to put your feet up, enjoy some quality time with your family, and soak up a little well-earned downtime today. You deserve it!

To all the Dads, Grandads and father figures who give their time, encouragement, energy and support to our club, thank you. And to those who go a step further and volunteer, lend a hand, take on a job, turn up early, stay back late and simply get stuck in wherever they’re needed - we see you, and we appreciate you.

The example you set by giving your time and showing our young Rovers the importance of pitching in, helping others and being part of something bigger than yourself is just as valuable as anything that happens on the field. You’re not only helping our club run, you’re showing the next generation what it means to be part of a community and to do your bit.

It’s been a big season, and we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s been a massive year! On Friday, 18 September, at the iconic Cloudland, we’ll come together to celebrate our senior players and the season that was. We’ll reflect on the moments and highlights that made this season special and remember who we are as a club.

It’s been a historical year, and we are looking forward to taking a night to look back on it, share some laughs, and celebrate with all the people who’ve been part of it.
