The Terrace parkrun

The Terrace parkrun The Terrace parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km walk, jog or run which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Riverside Park Raymond Terrace This is uneven ground.

Here is a description of the course:

The start line is just south of the wharf near the fishing trawlers. Head North between the river and the trees, through the “Choke Point” opposite the hotel. Continue along the river staying left. Keep heading North until you reach a loose gravel rise to the right known as “Worimi Climb”. Here you join the concrete path heading North past the Raymond Terrace

Athletics Field. Continue to wind your way North to just under the bridge where you turn around just before the boat ramp. Head South along the path until you reach “The Wall” and head down the right hand side to the grass again. Staying left as you head through the Choke Point where you join the paved path and wind through the play area and follow the path all the way South to the turn around point at the southern cone. Turn right through the bollards onto the bitumen and head north gain, run past the fishing trawlers and repeat the first lap. On the second trip south after the right turn through the bollards, race towards the finish line which is just past the start line at the end of the bitumen.

Hey Terrace parkrun community.

Ange McDonald is a local parkrunner from Maitland. Ange is honoured to have received parkrun Australia's Golden Ticket to participate in the upcoming Bravehearts 777 Marathon Challenge—running 7 marathons across 7 states and territories over 7 consecutive days.

As part of the challenge, Ange is raising funds for parkrun to help support and grow the events that have given so much to communities across Australia. parkrun has played a significant role in Ange’s running journey (it's how Ange started running), and this challenge is an opportunity to give something back.

We are sharing Ange’s fundraising page and if you are interested you can check it out and help Ange achieve the fundraising target that will in turn support Bravehearts and parkrun Australia.

7 marathons, 7 cities, 7 consecutive days to support parkrun and Bravehearts, raising awareness to help protect children.
