Western Roar are running a “Coach the Coaches Clinic” in 2026.
 
The session will be held on:
Monday, 29 June 2026
6:30 – 8:30pm at the Gold Netball Centre
 
The session will involve:
(i)  an introduction and insight into the WA Netball League environment from Western Roar’s Head Coach, Dylan McPherson (Elite Coaching Accreditation);
(ii)           a front row seat to the main session of the Western Roar Opens team, including an insight from Dylan regarding the structure of the training, the intention of the drills being undertaken and an opportunity to ask questions regarding drill progression and technical and tactical analysis; and
(iii)          following the session, a question-and-answer session with Opens Head Coach, Stuart Dent (Elite Coaching Accreditation).
 
Western Roar are offering this opportunity for coaches that are coaching at, either:
(i) Division 1 or Division 2 Opens team; or
(ii) Division 1 coach at an equivalent level to 9/12.
 
It is a first come, first served basis so if you are interested please email [email protected] providing your current coaching level,  current coaching accreditation and a copy of your working with children check.
 
Western Roar are happy to accept coaches that are affiliated with other WANL Clubs where those coaches are coaching at an Apprentice level or lower. Please include details of WANL involvement in your email.

Last night we had the special privilege to announce our newest life member - Dylan McPherson💙💛

Dylan has been at the club since the beginning. Although he retired, he couldn’t stay away. Dylan has done so much not only on the court as a player but as a coach, mentor and friend. The dedication and sacrifices Dylan has taken and takes to make this club such a special place is why he is so deserving of becoming a life member. We couldn’t imagine the club without Dylan and we look forward to seeing him around for many years to come, congratulations 💛💙
