⚓ EXPLORING ROTTNEST'S FORGOTTEN SHIPS

Deep beneath the waters off Rottnest Island lies a fascinating collection of shipwrecks, aircraft and other pieces of Western Australia's maritime history.

Known as the Wadjemup Kepawirn Scuttle Ground (informally as Rottnest Ships Graveyard), many of these vessels were deliberately sunk decades ago — and some are only now giving up their secrets.

Our very own Callum is part of the WreckSploration team, working alongside the WA Museum to explore, document and help identify these historic wrecks using technical diving and 3D photogrammetry.

From historic sailing ships to wartime submarines, there's a whole other world beneath the waters off Rottnest — and plenty still waiting to be discovered.

Do your theory online at home before joining us in the pool to practise all the skills you need to become a safe and confident diver. On the second day we repeat the skills we practiced on day one in the ocean. After a bit of paperwork and dive logging back at the shop, you are ready to start your underwater adventures!

Massive congratulations to the boys on the Rescue course last week!

Ben, Carlo and Shane worked as a team to rescue Divemaster Trainee Brett in multiple scenarios, multiple times! - These DMTs always getting themselves in to trouble! 😂

Its great to see so many of our divers training up to this level! Having more skilled divers who are confident in an emergency, out on the boats and around the dive sites generally is good for everyone!
