Our Winter comps have now officially ended with the Monday Night Ladies and Tuesday Night Men’s completing their finals.

I couldn’t get to the men’s finals but was able to sit and enjoy our ladies battle it out. Some really good tennis and a vocal crowd led loudly by Lydia. Alcohol may have been involved, allegedly. 😜😜

A big thanks to all those who competed and continue to support our internal competitions. And a bigger thank you to Brian and Cathy for running the respective comps so smoothly. It’s a thankless job (other than right here of course) and we need people like this around the club. 👏👏👏 Also, thanks to those who rocked up to watch.

The Summer season is just around the corner so we’ll do it all again soon.

***SAWATZKY CUP 2027***

Hi AP members...entries to the seventh annual Sawatzky Cup, presented by Solinco, are now OPEN. The tournament will be held Saturday January 9 2027 at APTC. Just FIVE teams slots are left in the 20-team men's field. You need a team of four (separate events for men and women) in this unique team doubles event. $50 per player per team. And you need a team name - the make up of each team is kept secret until tournament day. THANK YOU to all the AP members who have already entered! With a coffee van, great food (at your own expense) from our fab caterers Kitchen & Barrel, plus amazing prizes and a FREE sausage sizzle to coincide with the semifinals and finals, it's a top day of tennis! Father’s Day at The Park will be fun and delicious. Lock in Sunday the 6th of September and get ready for an amazing day of tennis, some great conversations and some yummy food created by Luke and the team of Kitchen and Barrel. Can’t wait! 🍝🍷🍕🍹🍸🍻🍺

AP had a big day Saturday with our men's and women's teams having to play their finals after rain pushed them back a week. Our ladies division 3 team were well beaten by Nedlands Tennis Club TC 4-0 in what was a great season for our girls getting back to finals. 👏👏👏

Our men's division 1 team won their final, beating Royal Kings Park 4-0. A sensational season for the boys who finished fourth on the ladder and had to defeat top placed Mt Lawley in the semi final, before beating RKPTC. Great effort everyone. 💪💪💪
