Cottesloe Golf Club

Cottesloe Golf Club Cottesloe Golf Club is an 18 hole private golf club situated on the stunning WA coast.

Founded over a century ago in 1908, Cottesloe Golf Club established its first links course close by the sea, where the existing Sea View Golf Club exists today. With aspirations of achieving course championship status, the Club moved to its present site in Swanbourne, where a new 18 hole course was carved from the scrub and sand hills using a horse and plough by a group of willing volunteers. Sinc

e that time, the Club has been a prominent part of the history of golf in Western Australia and has played host to recent events including the Amateur Golf Championships of Australia, the Australian Junior Interstate Series and the WA Open Championship, and winning Metro Golf Course of the year in 2020. A Graham Marsh designed layout has progressed to being widely regarded as one of the finest tests of golf in Western Australia boasting a well-appointed, two storey clubhouse with unparalleled views of the ocean to the west and city to the east.

Hole 5 at Cottesloe Golf Club ⛳️

The second par 3 on course is short and tricky. Tracking uphill the entire way, and depending on the pin location, typically a blind shot in from the tee.

The hidden green is protected by 4 small bunkers that run across the front and to the right. Misses long and left will leave you on grass but there isn’t an easy chip around this green.

The green is large and relatively flat, and given you’re likely hitting a blind shot in, our best playing tip on hole 5 is to aim safely for the middle of the green. This will give you a great chance for a 2-putt par.

Hole 5 measures 150m from the blue tees and is registered at index 11.

After a wild weekend, our golf course maintenance team and Sod Squad have been working hard to prepare the course for our members. A huge effort, course is looking great this morning for the Lady Brearley Trophy.

An unbelievable amount of debris on fairways and greens has been removed with a number of branches and fallen trees out of play which will continue to be tidied over the coming days.

Thanks to all.

It was a fantastic evening at our third Farm to Table Dinner on Wednesday, thank you to everyone involved.

Joined by John Faherty of who kindly shared his incredible knowledge of bees and honey to our diners.

A Golden Drop Dinner was a celebration of honey. A purposefully curated 5 course dinner with honey woven delicately through each, perfectly matched with a selection of French wines.

Stay tuned, details for our next food odyssey will be announced shortly!
