"You know what's impressing me the most...the comradery between athletes. And remember all these athletes are special needs. Even at finish line, high fives, hugs etc. And in the stands - photos being taken, friendships forming, telephone numbers being exchanged. Nobody cares about disability, where your from, what colour you are or what you look like"
- Cara Grant (Mum)

**Congratulations, Ryan Grant!**

Ryan is currently taking part in the National Special Olympics, and Southern Lions couldn’t be prouder. An incredible rugby player and talented track athlete, Ryan has made a brilliant start to the competition.

Yesterday, in the Men’s Division 1 heats, Ryan placed first in both the 100m and 200m, his first time competing against men after moving up from the junior division. Today, he raced in the 100m final and once again came first, earning an outstanding result. Well done!

Ryan, your dedication, determination and achievements are an inspiration to us all. We’re cheering you on and wishing you every success for the rest of the competition. Well done, you’ve made the whole Southern Lions family proud!
