Little sprocket Ashton was stoked to be this week’s BB Cycles Clubby of the Week! His little legs were struggling in the third Moto and he had a little tumble off his bike. But he didn’t give up, he just kept jumping back on his bike and going. He had the crowd cheering him along the third and fourth straights. What a show of resilience and persistence!

⚠️ Reminder: New to Pedals supports the transition from mini wheelers to sprockets, however, this division can support children of any age that are new to riding a BMX track. There are volunteers on the track and gate to assist new riders as they develop their skills. Strictly no parents on track.

Massive thank you to everyone who came down to help out around the club during open practice today. Plenty of jobs ticked off the list; planting, weeding, sign installation, can collection, and a general tidy up, all with a great vibe and atmosphere as always. We are so grateful for your time and help 🖤💛

Our very own member and regular volunteer Caitlyn had her first debut as Event Ambulance Officer tonight, and how is the luck!? Her first night was at WBC!! We are so proud of you Caitlyn, keep smashing your goals! We miss you down in staging, but we’ll still take this 😅🫶🏼

Our BB Cycles Clubby of the Week is Miller!
Miller has been coming to WBC for the last few weeks to practice, and tonight he built up the courage to race for the first time…And wow did he smash it, pulling 4s and 3s! But most importantly, he proved to himself he can do it, showing the kind of courage that we love to see!

🏁 CANTEEN HELPERS 🏁

We are trialling a new volunteer roster for our canteen to encourage new and increased helpers. We completely understand that it can be difficult to commit to a full night in the canteen for many reasons, and as such, we are trialling time slots instead. We hope these smaller commitments will help ease the pressure and make it easier for more members to volunteer. Thank you all 🖤💛

Huge thank you to everyone who shared and voted for Wanneroo BMX in the Triple M Cash for Your Club competition. Out of thousands of entries for sporting clubs across WA, WBC placed 4! That is insane and shows just how incredible our BMX community is 🙌🏼💛🖤 And don’t fret, as our wonderful club keeps growing, we will continue to invest in our hire equipment to ensure that BMX is accessible for all. Thank you all!
