Trent, the most well deserved BB Cycles Clubby of the Week tonight! Trent was great to watch tonight, particularly in holding his lines, something he’s been working on in coaching, and his cornering was on point 👌🏼
Not only is he a legend on the track, when he found out he was Clubby this week, he immediately suggested a shared Clubby with his fellow rider Aleks..
You know what, YES Trent!
Aleks smashed 2 consecutive PBs tonight, how good 🙌🏼👏🏼

We love seeing riders hyping each other up and supporting each other. Well done boys 💛🖤

⚠️ Mini wheeler/new to pedal parents please note the addition of 1 volunteer role ⚠️

Volunteers are essential to keeping our race nights running. Without all volunteer roles fulfilled, practice and racing cannot commence.

To qualify for end-of-term (Term 2) trophies, each family must complete 2 volunteer roles per term (as well as 80% race attendance of scored rounds).

🏁 ROUND SIX TOMORROW NIGHT 🏁

⚠️ Please remember we have made changes to session times. This is to ensure the safety of all riders on the track and to provide equal sessions of 25 minutes each. Please carefully read this post for further updates and information ⚠️

🕕 Gates open: 5:30pm

🤘🏼 Mini Wheelers: 5:50-6:15pm
Last straight and balance bikes only (no pedals)
Parents please keep off the batters to avoid damage. Please remember 1 adult per rider only on the track.

👏🏼 Pedal Bikes / New to Pedals: 5:50-6:15pm
⚠️ Reminder: It is essential that riders are confident and able to complete the first two straights with no stopping on the last corner. This is to ensure safety for all riders by avoiding pile ups and parents entering track. For riders who may not yet be confident, please explore our coaching pages who offer beginners sessions and can support in building rider confidence. Strictly no parents permitted on the track.

Kal-Vegas was a stellar weekend, as always.
Thank you for having us Eastern Goldfields BMX Club Inc 🙌🏼

Huge well done to our WBC riders, with epic results across the weekend. We love seeing you reach the goals you set for yourselves on the track, and watching the laughter and tomfoolery of big and little riders (and spectators!) around the track. That’s what these weekends are all about 🫶🏼

As per the Term 2 Race Calendar, we are closed this Friday for the Kal-Vegas State Rounds 🙌🏼

🏁 TERM 2 RACE CALENDAR 🏁

Racing runs every Friday night at Wanneroo BMX, unless otherwise stated, with the dates listed on the Term 2 calendar counting as scored rounds. Racing outside of the Term 2 calendar, including during school holidays, will be non-scoring until Term 3 commences.

⚠️ Please be mindful that scored rounds may be cancelled due to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances. Keep an eye on our social media, as all racing communication will be posted there.

If a scoring round is cancelled, WBC riders will be listed as ‘having attended’ to help ensure riders meet the minimum round eligibility for trophies.

However, volunteer requirements must still be fulfilled across the term, regardless of whether rounds have been cancelled. No exceptions will be made; families must complete a minimum of 2 volunteer roles in order for their rider to be eligible for a trophy.

A reminder that additional volunteer roles are available outside of Friday night racing, including but not limited to busy bees, open practice, come try days, and non-scored rounds.

⚠️ It is essential that you record your volunteering via the volunteer link (posted to Facebook every Friday), or record it on the Volunteer Board at the club. Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure your volunteer contributions are recorded.

A reminder regarding trophy eligibility 🏆

Mini Wheelers and New to Pedals
All Mini Wheelers and New to Pedals riders are eligible to receive a medal.

Sprockets
To be eligible for a trophy, riders must:
▪️ Have fulfilled at least 2 volunteer roles
▪️ Have completed at least 80% of rounds
Term 2 - 8/10 rounds

Age Divisions
To be eligible for a trophy, riders must:
▪️ Place in the top 3
▪️ Have fulfilled at least 2 volunteer roles
▪️ Have completed at least 80% of rounds
Term 2 - 8/10 rounds

Age riders who do not place in the top 3 but have completed the required number of rounds and volunteer roles will receive a medal.

Please note that changing divisions during the term may impact trophy eligibility.

Westbrook, as always, we were super impressed with your racing tonight 👊🏼 When I heard Chayse was nominated for BB Cycles Clubby of the Week, I wasn’t surprised, but asked for specific reasons as to why tonight was Chayses night.

This is what I was provided with:

- New big jump on last straight
- Got a hair cut
- Hasn’t been back chatting Adam
- Improved race craft
- Nice bike

I mean… Can’t argue with that!
