A huge congratulations to Virginia Baker, who claimed a remarkable hat-trick on her way to figures of 3/3. Hat-tricks are a rare feat in cricket at any level, making this an incredibly special moment for both Virginia and NSW Women’s Masters Cricket.

Virginia’s brilliant spell helped drive the Opals to a strong Round 1 victory and has already created one of the standout moments of the 2026 Ready-Henry Shield.

Congratulations to all our Round 1 MVPs on their outstanding performances and for representing NSW with pride.

A big night for the Rats at the South Coast District Cricket Association presentation on Saturday night. Firstly our resident GOAT Rat, Matt Faint, was recognised with a life membership to SCDCA, presented by another GOAT Rat, Graeme Creighton. Was great to have all the Faints in attendance.

Huge congratulations to our Ratatouilles Captain, , who was announced at the South Coast District Cricket Association Junior Presentation as the South Coast Junior Female Player of the Year for 2025/26. An outstanding achievement, and very fitting that a young legend received her award from a Rats (also young) legend, Matt Faint. Congrats, Jess! We're very proud of you! 🩵💛🐀💛🩵

At our 50th Anniversary we also inducted a new life member to our iconic ranks. Very well deserved recipient, Ryan Chatterton received a standing ovation from the crowd with now fellow life member, Brett Moran, presenting the award.
In summarising Brett's words, "Life membership is the highest honour of any organisation...recognition that the club's history and success are inextricably linked to that individual's contribution. It celebrates someone who gave more to the club than they ever took from it. From an extensive playing career starting in Under 10s through to Southern Zone Colts reps, he has been a member of the OFCC Board for numerous seasons, helped curating at Geoff Shaw, club delegate and Board Member of SCDCA. He is now a junior coach and our resident IT guru...His Dad, Terry, was heavily involved with the club and was his biggest supporter, he would be so proud of the contribution this man has made to OFCC. Life membership is our way of saying this club is a better place because you chose to be a part of it, and you will always have a seat at our table."

No team of the half century would be complete without a wicked left armer. And what a left arm talent we have from our Rat Royalty bloodline. With 133 wickets and holding the club record for best ever bowling figures - 9/3, incredibly 6 of those wickets were bowled, 2 were LBW and 1 was caught behind! Vanessa has been an incredible pioneer for women's representative cricket in South Coast and Illawarra and she continues to be a solid champion for the Rat's Womens teams and a huge support to the younger girls coming through. We're proud to name Ness as the final player in our Rats Team of the Half Century 🩵💛🐀💛🩵
