A heartbreaking finish, but what a performance from our U16’s!
The boys left absolutely everything out on the field yesterday, fighting until the very final whistle and showing just how much this team means to them.
Unfortunately, they fell just short, going down 32–24 to Maitland. But while the result wasn’t what we wanted, it takes nothing away from the incredible season these boys have had.
From the first game to the Grand Final, they’ve shown commitment, resilience, determination and plenty of heart. What an achievement to make it all the way to the Grand Final and what a season to be proud of. 👏
A huge thank you to our incredible coaches and trainers, Lachlan, Casey, Chad and Joe and team manager Jacqui for the time, effort and dedication they’ve put into this group throughout the season. Your work behind the scenes has helped make this team what it is. 💙
To the NBG faithful who turned up yesterday and supported the boys from the sideline thank you. The noise, the colours and the support meant everything. 🗣️💙
