Tonight the Joey Scouts invited their Dad or Special person to join in our meeting. Our guests helped the Joeys to use cameras to take photos to enter in the Naracoorte Show. They also took part in some traditional scouting, knots, then finally the Joeys turned their Daddies into Mummies. What a fun night.

In August one of our Joey Scouts attended a camp being run by Mount Gambier Joey Scouts at the Mount Gambier Scout Hall. He had a great time and made lots of new friends. This camp was to help prepare for Hoporee (the state Joey camp) being held in October.

Today the kids went to Burrungule Park Paintball Mt Gambier where they did Laser Tag. Great arvo had by the kids.

On Monday we were very lucky to have our Limestone Coast District Commissioner Harry attend our recent meet and help with investments.

2 of our kids joined up and officially became Cubs.

1 of our kids progressed from a Cub to now a Scout.

And a trained leader receiving her Woggle and is now officially a leader.

Today our scouts were asked to cook a BBQ and sell drinks at an Auction today (as a fundraiser for us). Complete with adult supervision was good to see these kids adding up, taking money and giving change all with out using calculators. 🙂 Not to mention learning about volunteering and helping out in the community. Great job boys!

Thank you to the Padthaway Ambulance who attended our Scout night on Monday. The kids learnt about CPR , how to use a defibrillator, how to make a sling, putting people into the recovery positionand were lucky enough to have a walk thru the Ambulance.
