Back at it again. Still some things I want to tidy up and finish. Maybe it’s the perfectionist in me 😳 but I feel getting more to where I want it to be.

‘Sonny’ - 9mth cocker spaniel 🐾

Worked with this little fella and his owner on Friday. It was super great to work with an owner who actively wanted to help her boy and was very open to all the information we discussed.

Sonny had been making living with him a little uncomfortable, hopefully with some changes being made and a better understanding of providing a nice structure at home will see him becoming the Sonny that he had been as a younger pup.

I wish them all the best and will be checking in with them all very soon.

These ornamental pear trees have finally decided it’s time to change their leaves 🍁 🍂 very late in doing so, compared to all the other deciduous trees we have on the property.

Nice though, to still have some colour appearing before everything is bleak and dull over the winter months.

PRIVATE SESSION 🐾

Helping a client/friend with bathing her boy, Axle.

He’s decided recently that he isn’t keen on the bath, nor the dryer.

I started the washing process off to gauge how he was, helped him learn to understand washing doesn’t need to be a big ordeal and then guided owner through doing the wash herself. Also, same thing with the drying process.

This one session doesn’t mean, Axle is all better and will be super happy to jump in the bath for a wash and be dried, however his owner has a better understanding on how to approach things to help Axle settle more and more each time bath time comes around.

The most important thing, consistency and perhaps not having long stints between baths, even if that means more baths than perhaps required, however helps to habituate the overall process and build on each one.

He had a lovely massage at the end and a nice game of tug as well. Finished on a lovely high note and great fun.

Good boy Axle, made some lovely progress from just this one session 👍🏻🥰
