Last week Alison and Robin attended the Darwin Branch Celebration of 40 years of Dietitians Australia. Alison graduated in 1980 and arrived in NT mid 80s, Robin arrived mid 70s just after Cyclone Tracy.

Alison & Robin’s top nutritional tips for healthy ageing:
🍎 Regular meals including protein source, wholegrain cereals and fruit and vegetables. 🧀 Choose healthy snacks like cheese and biscuits, fruit, yoghurt, nuts. ☕️ And most importantly, enjoy coffee catch ups with friends!

2026 Anzac Day was one of the most memorable days yet! Thank you to Veterans Australia NT for hosting a beautiful service. I am so grateful that I was able to sit amongst local Veterans and their families while hearing about personal experiences in service. ❤️

Thank you to those Veterans who continue to turn up for scheduled exercise even when you’ve shared that you’ve had minimal sleep, feel like giving up, a bad week for mental health, in pain, & low motivation. I appreciate that you share your vulnerability with me and also how trauma shapes your current life.

Please know that each and every one of you continue to make me a better person each day by reminding me of the importance of courage, sacrifice and mateship.

Welcome to the team Debbie 🩵

If you haven’t met Deb yet, she is your bottle of energy that you’ll want to carry with you everywhere. You’ll find Debbie instructing our water cycling class on Mondays at 6.15pm. Be sure to try one of her classes, they are super fun with a touch of the wild side.🤠

Hi, my name is Debbie. I’m 53, a proud mum of four and grandmother of seven.

My love for fitness started with aqua classes as a participant, which quickly grew into a passion for becoming an instructor. I absolutely love the community and helping people feel stronger, more confident, and connected.

Water cycling has been an exciting next step for me. I really enjoy the added challenge it brings, along with the energy and variety it offers in every class. It’s a great way to build strength and fitness in a low-impact environment, and I love seeing participants push themselves and have fun at the same time.

I’m currently studying my Certificate III in Fitness, with a focus on continuing to support and work with the over-50s community. I’m excited to keep growing, learning, and helping others on their fitness journey.
