🏏 💙 PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT | 2026/27 SEASON 💙🏏

Mooroopna Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome back Jake Wright for the 2026–2027 season! 🏏

Jake needs no introduction around the MCC. A two-time Haisman Shield premiership player, including a Best on Ground performance in one of those grand finals, Jake has already etched his name into our club’s history.

More importantly, Jake is part of the family and we’re excited to welcome him, Kiera and the girls back around the club for another season. We can’t wait to see Jake pulling on the Baggy Blue once again.

Mooroopna Cricket Club is excited to welcome Jake Baker for the 2026–2027 season!

Jake joins us through our strong Darwin connection and will link up with the club once his season up north has concluded.

A talented cricketer with plenty of senior experience in the Darwin competition, Jake also enjoyed a stint with Port Adelaide, bringing valuable experience and quality to our playing group.

We’re thrilled to have Jake on board and can’t wait to see him in the blue and white this season. Welcome to the MCC, Jake! 🔵⚪️ 🏏

🏏 💙 PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT | 2026/27 SEASON 💙🏏

Mooroopna Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Zaman Shafi to the club for the 2026/27 season!

With the connection of his brother Cyrus. The MCC would like to welcome Zaman. At just 19 years of age, Zaman is an exciting young prospect who brings an impressive cricketing resume. A dynamic left-handed batter and sharp wicketkeeper, he has already gained experience at the professional level, making his debut against the New Zealand Men’s team at just 16 years of age.

A product of the Gloucestershire CCC Academy, Zaman has produced standout performances with both the gloves and the bat, establishing himself as a talented top-order batter and reliable wicketkeeper.

We can’t wait to welcome Zaman to the Mooroopna Cricket Club and look forward to seeing the impact he’ll make both on and off the field this season - Welcome to the MCC, Zaman! 💙🏏

🏏 💙 COACH ANNOUNCEMENT | 2026/27 SEASON 💙🏏

The Mooroopna Cricket Club is thrilled to announce that Cyrus Shafi will return as our Coach for the 2026/27 season.

After making a tremendous impact last season, we’re excited to welcome Cyrus back to the MCC. His professional attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for the game were evident from day one, and he quickly became a valued member of not only our club but also the wider Mooroopna community.

Cyrus brought outstanding leadership both on and off the field, and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to build on the strong foundations he established last season.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds under Cyrus’ leadership and are excited for another big season at the MCC - Please join us in welcoming Cyrus back this season 💙🏏
