Remember the Sydney crew who drove from Sydney to Melbourne at 4AM just to play tennis with us last Sunday?

Now it is our turn to show up for them. 💪

AVTA Sydney is hosting their own annual tournament on 4th and 5th July — and it is MASSIVE. 30+ teams already signed up per category and they have personally extended an invitation to us. Where do we start! 🌟 Long Dam — a shining young superstar from Viewbank — walked onto the AVTA Tour stage for the very first time and took the whole thing home to his hosting club. An AVTA debut to remember forever! 🙌

By his side, Minh Hoa Vuong — a long time AVTA member who has competed in 15 competitions — finally lifted his first golden trophy today. 15 attempts. 1 golden moment. Worth every single one. 💛

And to our runners-up Tan Le and Jimmy Binh — this was Tan's 2nd final and Jimmy's 3rd. The heart, the persistence, the consistency to keep making finals — that is something to be incredibly proud of. Your time is coming. 🥈 Duy Vo & Son Nguyen

If you know AVTA Tour, you know Tung Hoang. Serial runner-up. 5 finals. 21 attempts. Today — teaming up with his previous 1400 partner Son Tay — Tung finally broke the curse! 😤🏆

And Tung is now the final member of the four TN Academy coaches to win an AVTA trophy. All four coaches. All four champions. What a dynasty! 👑

Son Tay — our beloved Facebook superstar and the voice of AVTA Tour commentary — has done it! He is no longer just "The Commentator Guy." From this day forward he is "The Commentator Champion Guy!" 🎙️🏆 Will he reconsider the commentary seat? We shall see... 😄

To runners-up Duy Vo and Son Nguyen — Duy, you made it to the semi finals of 1350 ON THE SAME DAY before battling through to the 1450 final. That is an extraordinary effort and a testament to your fitness and determination. And Sơn Nguyễn — so close to back to back championships after winning 1600 in March.

After 15 hard fought matches across the afternoon, Sydney have won the inaugural AVTA Tour Interstate Mixed Doubles Friendly — and they won it convincingly! 🏆
