ON THIS DAY 25 YEARS AGO: RD 21 2000 v WESTERN BULLDOGS
This was the day we won the 2000 Premiership... OK, hear me out... 😆 Having gone 20 straight games without a loss, this defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs came at the PERFECT time, two weeks out from finals. It gave the players a potent reminder of what it felt like to lose just before the business end of the season, and I'm convinced that from that point on we had the premiership in the bag! To have claimed our 16th premiership, I have no problem with having lost only one game for the season!!! 🔴⚫️
