VETS MONDAY!! ⛳️

There were some great scores handed in in the Vets single stableford event today -Monday. There were 44 players that hit off in warm sunny conditions. Our captain, John Porter, had the round of the decade (as he described it) to finish with 46 points to collect the $50 voucher. Well done John. That's certainly great golf and just 7 over par. Runner up with an almost equally impressive 44 points was Roy Whales. I would say that that is probably Roy's best round since joining the club. In 3rd place was Rob VanKlaveran with 42 points to get the free game voucher and on 39 points Was Gunny Dickinson who collected the free drink voucher as well as a pro ball for his score.
Others to score well and earn a pro ball were Bob Plenty -39, Mark Hemmy and Phil Robinson -38, Lance Pedrana – 36, Glen Brown, Dave Pearcey, Bob Harvey, Graham Cox, Col Harvey and Maree Ciavarell from Rich River all with 35 points.
Nearest the pins went to Steve McMahon and Maree Ciavarella on the 2nd, Mike McGowan and Kate Hemmy on the 7th, Mark Hemmy on the 11th and Maree Ciavarella on the 17th. The 2 thistle hole vouchers were won by Tony Turner and Kate Hemmy.
In the next few weeks there are open days on at Kyogle, Club Banora and Coraki and we also have our return visit to Woodburn / Evans Head for the Koala Cup. Also in the 2nd week of August we will be hosting our annual week of golf and I know Mark and Kate Hemmy have got this totally organised.
Our next game on Monday 20th the event is a 4BBB v Par.
