Huge day on the beautiful Hastings River for nine of Lower Clarence’s hardy rowers taking part in the 4 Bridges mini marathon. A very challenging row from Wauchope to Port Macquarie. Wonderful day on the Clarence River for our crews taking part in Grafton Rowing Club’s rowathon. Perfect conditions for a Sunday row! All proceeds to the rescue helicopter service .

Our dedicated masters crews have had an extraordinary (& tough) campaign at the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships at Perth over the past four days.
Highlights included a gold medal in the Mixed A-B grade quad event !
Three silver medals : Women’s B grade single; women’s B grade composite quad; women’s C grade double; .
Bronze medals in: women’s B grade double; mixed A-B double; and mixed C grade double.
Amazing achievement s team Lower Clarence !
Safe travels home !

Always great when clubs & districts can combine to give rowers greater opportunities at the major regattas.
Lower Clarence’s Candice combined with some wonderful Central Districts rowers from Port Macquarie, Newcastle & Newcastle Uni to win a convincing gold in the Women’s Masters A Grade quad event at the Australian Masters in Perth this morning. Congratulations 🙌

Incredible start for Lower Clarence masters at the Australian Masters titles in Perth .
Our amazing quad were in the first event of the regatta & had the perfect race to win gold in the A-B grade quad !
Our women then won their heat of the C grade double before a really close finish for silver in the final
Huge congratulations to Liam, Candice, Vanette & Luke
Can’t wait to see what you achieve over the next three days of the national regatta .

Massive weekend for our masters at The 2026 NSW Masters Championship regatta at SIRC.
They finished with an impressive three silver & two bronze medals after some really tough races & close finishes.
Silver medals in the Women’s A grade double; mixed A-C grade quad & women’s A grade quad (composite crew with Newcastle Uni & Port Macquarie).
Bronze medals in men’s A grade quad (composite crew with Pine Rivers) & men’s B grade double.
Congratulations!
Next stop Perth for the Australian Masters regatta!!
