Another great performance from Mick Punturiero at 700m last Saturday. Conditions were not bad, with the wind variable from between 1 o'clock and 11:30 o'clock 2 to 6mph.

Medals to Phil Britton and Grant Lewis from the Adelaide Plains Championship 2025/26 awarded last Saturday. Many thanks to Chris Green for passing these on while LR was out shooting.

Weather conditions were kind last Saturday. Welcome back Trevor Rudak, after time off with an injury to his foot. Mick Punturiero had an incredible score of a double possible 60.07 at 300m!

Congratulations to Cameron Whant (Phoenix TRC) on winning the recent British Open at Bisley Rifle Range in Surry, England. This is an F-Open match over two days over 800, 900 and 1,000 yards on each day. Cam took the NRA Gold Medal with a score of 434.38.

There were 181 competitors. Other results in the British Open from Light River RC members include:

Karen and Adrian Conlon as well as Stuart Braund are currently in Britain at Bisley Range for individual and teams F-Open rifle matches.

Light River RC did not shoot today, Saturday 25/7/2026, due to persistent light rain and misty conditions (see photo below). I believe the weather fined up during the afternoon.

No shooting on 11/7/2026 due to inclement weather - rain all afternoon. The weather on 18/7/2026 was fine and mild and the wind was readable. Mick Punturiero & Stuart Braund both got double possibles!
