It is with great sadness that the Dublin Cricket Club acknowledges the passing of Lindsay Walker "Pop", our much-loved Life Member, committee member and passionate supporter.

For many years, Pop was a familiar face around the club, first enjoying countless afternoons watching cricket at Dublin before proudly watching his sons play; from the 1998/99 season until the season just past. His love for the game and unwavering commitment to our club made him an integral part of the Dublin Cricket Club family.

Whether he was sitting on the verandah alongside Gilly and Phil, offering their own running commentary, or relaxing under a shady tree at away games, Pop's presence brought a feeling of unwavering support to the team at each game.

His dedication to the club extended well beyond game day, serving as a valued committee member with his practical and down to earth approach. In recognition of his outstanding contribution, being awarded Life Membership in 2023.

Rest peacefully, Pop. Your innings may be over, but your impact on our club will never be forgotten.

The Walker family invite you to attend the funeral service to be held at Dublin Cricket Club on Wednesday 15th July at 2pm
