Still smiling from ear to ear after my Salt Horsemanship clinic in the weekend!

There’s been a few babies between us since we last got to do some fun stuff together! 🤍

My expectation for the weekend was some in-hand groundwork that would hopefully flow through to finally getting back in the saddle. Well, after about 15 minutes of Shilo being the absolute dream she’s always been, Kev looked at me and said, “Well… where’s your saddle?” 😅

One borrowed saddle and 30 minutes later, we were back riding around like we hadn’t just had an almost three-year break. It certainly wasn’t aesthetic, but it was real, and it was a whole lot of fun.

I can’t thank the SALT team and the NVQHA club members enough for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment. No matter your experience level, how long you’ve been away, or how nervous you might be, everyone makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and capable.

Safe to say my cup is very full after this weekend — and I think Shilo was pretty happy to have her mum back in the saddle too. ❤️🐴

A new set of ears has arrived recently 🐾

We’re excited to welcome Gogetta Urge to the team.

He’s taking everything in stride and is showing all the signs of a dog that’s going to be incredibly handy to have around.

This would have to be his fifth visit now, and he settles in like he never left… it takes him all of about half a second.

For many racehorses, even the smallest change in routine can be unsettling — but not this boy. He’s straight into his feed, relaxed, and completely at ease.

Meet Connie & Evie – yearling besties settling in for some growing, grazing and good times.

Connie is a gorgeous grey Connemara x WB, and Evie a lovely Arabian WB.
