Expressions of Interest – Casual Vacancy for Expert Director

The Rugby League Northern Rivers (RLNR) Board is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals to fill a Casual Vacancy for an Expert Director position. This is an opportunity to contribute to the governance, strategic direction and ongoing development of rugby league throughout the Northern Rivers region. Interested individuals are invited to submit a brief Expression of Interest outlining their rugby league involvement, professional background, life experience and any skills or expertise they believe would benefit the Board.

Following receipt of EOIs, further discussions will be arranged.

Important Referee Workshop Update

Apologies for any inconvenience, however due to venue availability restrictions, there have been changes to this weekend's referee accreditation workshops.

The 6–12 Years Referee Accreditation Course has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The venue for the remaining workshops has changed from Lake Ainsworth to Ballina Seagulls Leagues Club.

It was such a great day today at Cudgen Hornets JRL & this proves that the Region can work together with everyone for the benefit of our greatest game.
Thank you Tony for being part of our future & lending a helping hand

Today we want to give a very special thank you to little Tony from the Lismore Marist Brothers Jrl.

At just 6 years old, Tony stayed behind after our last game and helped clean up the grounds, filling almost half a wheelie bin with rubbish. He wasn’t asked to do it,he simply wanted to help, and that says so much about the beautiful young boy he is.

Tony’s kindness, caring nature and willingness to lend a hand touched so many people today. He reminded us that the little things can make a big difference.

After all his hard work, Tony enjoyed a few treats from the Cudgen canteen and proudly took home a Cudgen jersey, which he insisted on wearing straight away!

Thank you, Tony. We are so grateful for your help today and feel lucky to have had you as part of our Cudgen family. Keep being the amazing young man you are. 💚💛🏉✨

Unfortunately, the weather has done it again. Due to ongoing wet conditions, both Ballina and Lennox fields have been closed by Council, which means all Group 1 Taipans and Group 18 Junior Rugby League U15s and U16s Boys Cross Over Regional Games scheduled below have now been postponed.

The rescheduled date will now be Saturday 4th July at Ballina. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic day of footy, with the tackle girls crossover round also taking place. 🏉

Sorry for any inconvenience caused, however the weather is unfortunately out of everyone’s control.

Good luck to all other clubs and teams still taking the field today. Stay safe and enjoy your footy! 💪
